Seeing and helping clients to recognize the realities of their situation is something that I strive to instill in clients. Having empathy for them is not only necessary for a therapist but also an asset. Being a recovering individual affords me this ability. Looking at the whole client is an organizational goal as well as an individual one that allows us to help clients with all aspects of their recovery, not just the substance abuse part.”
